how long this body of Hers
will sound like far footsteps?
in the alleys, in the streets
always walks, always leaves
and She lightens everything
with Her purple light within
She denied it to him
but he’s lit, albeit dim
as it lights someone blind
a dim memory in the mind
of a past Love’s distant light
well before the loss of sight
