I self-publish my art as Danis Dedes, the creative alter ego of Dr. Diogenis A. Kiziridis, a biologist/ecologist by profession.
My professional life is spent analyzing ecological data, from ecosystems to biodiversity. My spare time is spent making art.
Under the name Danis Dedes, I write, craft, paint, experiment, and self-publish, from poetry and fiction to tabletop games and other things that don’t always fit neatly into a category.
Danis is the name my mother gave me, and the one that stuck. Dedes has an equally old story: as a baby, my brother couldn’t quite manage “Danis” and called me “Dede” instead. Somehow, that stuck too❣️
